Dialogue with Shareholders and Investors
Policy and Basic Approach
Kansai Paint seeks to realize sustainable growth and increase corporate value over the medium to long term through constructive dialogue with shareholders and investors. It undertakes timely and appropriate disclosure of the content of such initiatives in accordance with fair disclosure rules.
Additionally, we seek to proactively disclose information considered important in improving understanding of our business activities among shareholders and investors, even for matters not subject to the Timely Disclosure Rules.
Structure & System
The Vice President Executive Officer, the Executive Officer / General Manager of the Corporate Planning Division, and the IR/PR Department play central roles in dialogue intended to build strong, constructive ties with institutional investors, including shareholders. These are conducted in line with our approach of ensuring fair, accurate, and timely disclosure.
Initiatives
Specific initiatives in FY2022 included explanations provided by the President in semiannual strategy briefings for institutional investors. We also held remote meetings on the dates of announcement of quarterly financial results, in which the President, Vice President Executive Officer, and Executive Officer / General Manager, Corporate Planning Division described matters including an overview of financial results.
Individual discussions also took place with the President, Vice President Executive Officer, the Executive Officer / General Manager, Corporate Planning Division, and others in response to requests for interviews from numerous institutional investors. We participated in multiple conferences organized by securities firms. The events consisted mainly of dialogue with new institutional investors from Japan and other countries. We are currently considering participating in briefings and various events as IR activities for individual investors, and plan to upgrade the website to help individual investors gain a deeper understanding of Kansai Paint's businesses. Additionally, we strive to increase corporate value by sharing and discussing with management the content of dialogue and matters identified in it and reflecting the results in our strategies.
