Group Policy and Basic Approach

Under the vision of “Enrich Lives with Happiness” the Kansai Paint Group is committed to contributing to the realization of a sustainable society by maximizing the social value of coating.​

Coating plays an essential role in sustainability by extending the lifespan of products, improving energy efficiency during use, and reducing environmental impact.​

For many years, we have developed environmentally friendly products – such as water-based and powder coatings – and created value through collaboration with our customers.​

However, global environmental changes are accelerating beyond expectations, requiring a fundamental reassessment of how society develops.​
We recognize the need to fundamentally review the entire value chain—from raw materials and manufacturing to logistics and sales.

In response to these challenges, the Kansai Paint Group revised its materiality and established KPIs in fiscal year 2021.​
Based on this materiality, we will promote initiatives in decarbonization, resource circulation, expansion of sustainable products, diversity and inclusion, and social contribution, linking our business activities to long-term goals and accelerating value creation.​

Guided by this Sustainability Policy, we will continue to enhance both social and corporate value and achieve sustainable growth.​

Structure ＆ System

The Kansai Paint Group has established the Sustainability Promotion Committee under the Corporate Governance Committee to oversee the improvement of corporate value from a non-financial perspective and make prompt decisions. The Strategy Department, a standing organization, revises plans and collaborates with each department to implement specific measures. This ensures both innovation and feasibility, working together to enhance long-term corporate value.​
